The hood has been designed and built with a hermetically sealed work area to ensure a high level of personal protection from biological risks.

The incoming air passes through a HEPA filter and is then completely expelled through a double layer of ULPA filters placed in series. In this way, the protection of the operator and the surrounding environment can be guaranteed. For maximum safety, Three Activa machines should expel the treated and purified air outside the building via ducting and a remote extractor fan, to also obtain ducting in depression.

The air flow is guaranteed by a specific suction system, which maintains a negative pressure inside the hood. Access to the work area is possible via latex sleeve gloves positioned and fixed, by means of flanges, on the front of the hood.

The product, although handled in a sterile environment, is instead subject to the risk of cross-contamination due to the turbulence of the air flow inside the work area. The turbulent motion of the air therefore makes them unsuitable when it is also necessary to guarantee the sterility of the product.
