Biohazard hood with vertical laminar flow class II Cyto Activa

The hood has been designed for the global protection of operator, product and environment.

The biohazard cabins in class II type A and B3 are hoods with front opening, air inlet from outside to inside, sterile vertical laminar air flow in class 100 (Federal Standard) inside the cabin and filter absolute HEPA in ejection.

The hood is characterized by a modern and elegant design, by technically advanced electronics and by a remarkable simplicity of maintenance.

Main features

- external carpentry in steel sheet (thickness 15/10), epoxy paint RAL 7035

- internal carpentry in AISI 304 stainless steel with scotch-brite finish

- perforated worktop composed of 4 stainless steel segments that can be easily removed and sterilized in an autoclave

- stainless steel liquid collection tank underneath the work surface

- front protection tempered shatterproof glass (6 mm thick) opening with a flap top and acoustic alarm for incorrect operating condition (Cyto Activa) or motorized up and down (Cyto Activa VE)

- two absolute filters (HEPA), removable from the front and top, with an efficiency greater than 99.995% MPPS on particles with the same diameter or

exceeding 0.3 m, in compliance with all standards, with manufacturer's certificate

- third stage of absolute filtration on HEPA absolute filters placed under the work surface. Filter change system using a transparent PVC bag

- dynamic holding plenum

- laminar flow generated by high quality electronically controlled motorized fans able to compensate the load losses due to the progressive

clogging of the 3 absolute filters installed

- automatic adjustment of downflow air and exhaust air (front barrier) for automatic clogging compensation

of the filters.

- predisposition by collar  250 mm for the possible ducting to the outside of the expelled air (optional)

- DOP test taken on delivery flow and exhaust

- 2 valved taps for combustible gas and various gases

Control panel

On the control panel, which encloses the electronic card controlled by a new generation microprocessor, there are:

- general O / I selector with key control

- membrane keyboard (soft-touch) with antistatic protection (protection degree IP55)

- digital display with constant indication of vertical laminar flow and front barrier speed, displayed in meters per second

- emergency button to increase the quantity of expelled air (barrier)

- digital electronic hour meter for general machine operation

- timer with count of hours of germicidal lamp operation U.V. to scale with lamp end-of-life warning (if lamp)

- acoustic and visual alarm for:

- open front glass

- insufficient or too high LAF or BARRIER air speed

- timer reached maximum time limit for use with installed absolute filters, with indication of need for next replacement

- faulty operation of the fan motors

- solenoid valve control buttons for gas inlet, internal electrical power supply, fluorescent lights and U.V.

(with interlock), ignition of motor-fans and LEDs with power supply.

- emergency button integrated on the command keypad, with the possibility of increasing the speed of the expulsion air flow (protection barrier

operator)
